Sandra Osborne is an award winning journalist who was recognized by the Florida Associated Press in 2012 and 2013. Sandra joined News 13 in Orlando in the spring of 2013 to work as an Anchor, Reporter and Multi Media Journalist. You can also catch Sandra filling in on Political Connections, a weekly half hour special showcasing important leaders and lawmakers.
A Florida native, Sandra loves being in the Sunshine State. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she earned a degree in Broadcast Communications, with a minor in Psychology.
In Orlando, Sandra has worked on a number of stories that captured the nation’s attention. During the George Zimmerman trial, Sandra reported from the protest zones outside of the courthouse. She was there as the verdict was read and brought central Florida viewers the latest when those opposed demanded a nation-wide protest. Sandra also followed the story of the mother who drove her three children into the ocean in Daytona Beach and covered the FAMU hazing death trials in Orange County. From court cases and politics, to theme park news, Sandra was thrilled to report on the latest attractions and rides…even feeding a 13 foot alligator on live TV at one point!
Sandra’s professional experience includes anchoring, reporting, producing and weather forecasting for WJHG in Panama City Beach. Prior to covering news in the Florida panhandle, Sandra worked on-air at the number one radio station in Orlando, MIX 105.1 and served on the production team at FOX 35.
When she’s not in the newsroom, Sandra enjoys trips to the beach, yoga, trying new restaurants, reading (especially the Harry Potter series) and spending time with her husband, Josh.
